We’re proud to celebrate a major milestone at The Locke Bar — over three decades in business since first opening our doors back in 1989. What began as a humble riverside pub in the heart of Limerick has grown into one of the city’s best-loved destinations for great food, drinks, live music, and warm welcomes.

Over the years, we’ve had the honour of serving generations of locals and visitors from near and far. From leisurely riverside lunches and summer barbecues, to late-night seisiúns filled with traditional Irish music and dance, every moment shared under our roof has played a part in shaping the unique character of The Locke Bar. We’re incredibly grateful to all who have been part of our story — from our loyal customers and passionate staff, to the wider Limerick community whose support, spirit, and friendship have made this journey possible.

As we reflect on our history, we look ahead with excitement to the future. There’s still so much more to come — more music, more stories, more celebrations, and more memories to make by the river.
